I ordered this for my sony reader to protect it during use. The cover is very nice. It feels and looks like leather so I assume it is. It has a nice sort of suede lining, a small pouch for papers, and a loop for a pen. The catch is magnetic and works very well. The additional items are ok, but not the reason I ordered this. The car charger came apart just carrying it around in a bag, which is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. The case itself was worth the price, so I wasn't much upset about the car charger.

Nice leather case which was a perfect fit for my Sony reader. teh price was right too. Also included were a wall charger, and a data cable - can't have too many of those.

I just got this product for my PRS 500 and it does the job perfectly. It fits the reader just fine. I would've gave it 5 stars if the price was just a bit lower (however it is the only thing I've seen like it, so the law of supply and demand applies). Also the halves of the case fit tight but could snap together a little tighter, but I'm not concerned about it because it's going to be stuffed in my backpack anyway. I recommend this product.

Bought this case a few weeks ago for the sony 505 reader, works as it should. I added a bible case to put it in to make it easier to travel with.

Oh, don't even waste your money on this. The metal is thinner than an Altoids tin and you really, really need to spend your hard-earned cash on their other product, the BookArmor. Ok, the BookArmor isn't metal, but in my humble opinion it does a better job protecting the delicate Sony Reader screen. I bought this and the BookArmor both, and upon examining both, there was absolutely no contest. While metal sounds like the better option, TRUST ME -- the reinforced plastic BookArmor is definitely the better choice.

When it first arrived, I'll admit I was disappointed. It felt a little chintzy, and it looked like a metal box for colored pencils with a little foam inside.

I'm in the military, so I carry it to and fro in the rear pocket of the Day-Glo motorcycle vest the DoD mandates we wear when riding.

This morning my bike and I went down hard, and my Reader came out of it without a ding or scratch. The case was dented and scraped, but the Reader was perfect.

If you have a Sony Reader, GET THIS. Yeah, it's ugly, but it does the job.

I broke the screen my first Sony Reader PRS-500 when stuffing my carry on bag into the overhead on a flight. I replaced it with the PRS-505 and have been looking for something to prevent this from happening again. The eCaddy case is just what I was looking for. It is small and light and holds my reader with the soft cover on. It does have some bend to it so don't expect to be able to jump up and down on it but I no longer travel with fear of destroying my reader. Good protection for the price.

Review by Jared Hall for Keyboard Dock for iPad
Rating:
Apple's iPad keyboard is basically the standard iPad dock melded together with the wireless keyboard. When at home it I find it a convenient companion for iPad recharging or email writing. The best part about it is the line of specialized keys including a home button that jumps right to the apps display (no need to unlock).

However, I'm seriously let down by its lack of flexibility. It requires the iPad to be perched in the vertical position, and even then it sits pretty unsteadily -- I usually unplug it while typing to keep it from constantly going back into sync mode with my computer. Although it looks compact in the picture it is roughly as heavy as the iPad itself and doesn't fold up easily to take on the go. There is a single "line out" for audio on the rear, but using it will disable the volume controls on the device. It seems kind of silly to still have to plug my speakers to the top of the device. A USB or HDMI outlet would have also been a nice touch considering it is supposed to be for the home.

If you are deciding between this keyboard or another, I would definitely go with a bluetooth option if I had another chance to purchase. The I-Connex keyboard looks promising, and there's sure to be better, more portable options as time goes on. I wouldn't be surprised in Apple even gives this one a redesign.

Although it looks compact in the picture it is roughly as heavy as the iPad itself and doesn’t fold up easily to take on the go. There is a single “line out” for audio on the rear, but using it will disable the volume controls on the device.

The I-Connex keyboard looks promising, and there’s sure to be better, more portable options as time goes on. I wouldn’t be surprised in Apple even gives this one a redesign.

It seems that one's experience of this product is all about one's expectations. If you want to leave your case on (regardless of it's design) while you charge or edit docs you may be disappointed. If you want to use it on your lap or in bed or the shower you may be disappointed. If you want the landscape orientation you will definitely be disappointed.

On the other hand if you want a relatively inexpensive, beautiful, rock-solid base on desk, counter, table top you will not be disappointed. The Ipad fits very snugly into the heavy, solid base and stays put nicely against a high plastic, somewhat sculptural support angle. My guess is that a device with wiggle room for cases would wiggle a bit when used without a case. So I prefer to uncase it and have it fit snugly.

It would be nice to have landscape but short of having two connectors on the device itself I don't see how this is possible. I suppose there is the alternative of a cable, stand, and bluetooth keyboard but that is too complicated for me. If you have to have landscape though.........

I hadn't noticed that the Mac keys are not fully updated for the Pad so that needs fixing but I do like the audio out. A USB or Firewire port for future enhancements would be nice but there will always be those among us who desire a whole Ipad computer with HDD and printer functionality.

I hope this was helpful.

I know a separate dock and keyboard is more expensive (69 + 29) from apple, at least you don't need to dock your ipad on the dock for the keyboard to function, you can even use it in landscape mode!! Isn't that nice? The best part it you can use the wireless keyboard with any other devices, not just limited to iPad.
